Thoughts on violence

July 17, 2016

2008 – Sarah Palin used cross hair symbols on a map to indicate targets of political campaigning.  the press (MSM) ran days of leading reports on how outraged democrats were at the hate and violence inducing language and symbols being used by Palin and the GOP.

2008 – Obama campaigns with a speech comment of fighting and attacking his opponents,  and makes references about bringing guns to a knife fight.  No leading reports from press for days on the violent speech Obama used.

2009 – Beer summit with police officer over the arrest of a black professor , after Obama  weighed in on the police brutality without knowing the details.  No leading reports from press for days on the violent speech Obama used.

2010-2016 Obama often weighs in on police incidents about the police being unfair,  and brutal.  Often expresses sympathy for violence committed against police.  ie: Ferguson, Trayvon…  No leading reports from press for days on the violent speech Obama used.

In both ferguson and trayvon deaths,  the defendents were found not guilty when all the facts were completed properly.

2015 and 2016 Obama and his admin show sympathy and have special meetings with Black Lives Matter organizers, rappers who call for killing police.  Obama says his favorite rap album is one that calls for killing police.  No leading reports from press for days on the violent speech Obama used.

2016 – attacks and murders of police increase until in the summer of 2016,  June and July become months of multiple murders of police in several cities.

Obama at the Dallas funeral for 5 dead officers,  grandstands about how we are all at fault for being racists and all bear responsibility in the officer deaths and brings up the Ferguson and Trayvon and more recent deaths in Baton Rouge and Minneapolis that were police shootings of Black people, again the president weighs in before any investigation is complete with analysis and commentary.

Words do matter,  leading by example means our leaders should promote the rule of law, due process for everyone, avoid singling out anyone with premature commentary prior to the facts being available from a proper investigation.

Hillary Clinton has also made multiple comments in speeches along the same lines as President Obama, as have too many Senators and Congressmen,  most if not all Democrats.

We need leaders who do not seek to stir up hatred.  leaders who know how to promote peace and let the rule of law work.
