Jas 1:12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

This morning Leisa made the comment that Jesus had 12 disciples, with Jesus that made 13 people.  Friday the 13th,  has a lot of myth and superstition about being a bad day to do things.  Christians as people of faith and followers of Christ can count on His promises for life (faith is mentioned about 250 times in the Bible, promises are discussed 18 times,  and promise is the focuse in 139 verses    ).  That is important to remember,  no day is any different from any other, living in the promise of Christ, in His grace, and connected with power source that created the world.

Whatever this life brings you this day,  count it as something that Jesus is standing with you on and creating a way to stand in faith against anything in this world.  After you pass through this,  the King is faithful and will complete the promise to bless you in eternal life.

In the words of the Bible,

Joshua 24:15“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or (A)the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
